Oh and the best part?!? A portion of your proceeds will be donated to Tasveer to help support ISAFF 2008, Seattle’s 5th Independent South Asian Film Festival. Can you believe it? 5 whole years?!? For the special occasion, BollyGrooves will be hosted at a bigger, better venue, NEUMOS, holding up to 600 folks. We hope you are as excited to celebrate as we are!

Call for Submissions

Pride Foundation

Seattle’s 5th Independent South Asian film festival (ISAFF) is now accepting entries for films on subjects related to South Asia and/or its Diaspora. Along with the best selected South Asian films, the five-day film festival will foster an atmosphere of lively discussions, forums, and other collaborative interactive formats.

Genres: Short; Experimental; Documentary; Narrative
Format: 35mm; 16mm; mini DV; DVD
Deadline: June 30th, 2008
Festival Dates: September 24th-28th, 2008

Eligibility:
• All works must be related to South Asia and/or its Diaspora. "South Asia" includes: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Tibet
• Works must be released after January 2006, exceptions will be made for queer film submissions.

2008 Hazel Wolf Environmental Film Festival

May 1st-4th, 2008 • Johnson Hall, University of Washington, Seattle

The film festival will feature 50+ films and shorts, speakers, and filmmaking workshops.

It kicks off with Oil+Water, an exuberant, biofuels-only road trip from Alaska to Argentina punctuated by jaw-dropping whitewater kayaking. People’s Choice award winner at the Wild and Scenic Film Festival. Q & A with filmmaker and professional kayaker Seth Warren following the film.
