    Tasveer is now accepting entries for its 7th Independent South Asian Film Festival, October 7th-9th, 2011 at SIFF Cinema.

    Tasveer’s mission is to offer an opportunity for people to discover, experience, and enjoy a range of South Asian films, workshops, performances and forums. ISAFF creates a lively, stimulating, and focused environment for conversation, education, and exploration of issues that face South Asia* and its Diaspora.


    We are also looking for dedicated volunteers to help out with our festival. write to info@tasveer.org

    *South Asia consists of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

Seattle’s 7th Independent South Asian film festival (ISAFF) is now accepting entries for films on subjects related to South Asia and/or its Diaspora. Along with the best selected South Asian films, the three-day film festival will foster an atmosphere of lively discussions, forums, and other collaborative interactive formats.

Genres: Short; Experimental; Documentary; Narrative
Format: 35mm; 16mm; mini DV; DVD
Deadline: July31st, 2011
Festival Dates: October 7-9th, 2011

Eligibility:
• All works must be related to South Asia and/or its Diaspora. "South Asia" includes: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Tibet
• Works must be released after January 2010

You are invited to a night of film, dance and music. This event is a one night only party/fundraiser for a documentary film project about the world behind the scenes of Bollywood. Support your local filmmakers from Seattle and meet them at the event. The film trailer screening will be followed by performances from Seattle based Bollywood Dance Instructor Nina Niranjan. After the 9pm screening of the film DJ Aanshul will kick in with some of the hottest new music to come out of Bollywood.Check out the The Bollywood Project Trailer
