SUMMARY:Tasveer Reels: Pride Edition Shorts
DESCRIPTION:Tasveer Reels: Pride Edition Shorts\n\nCome celebrate Pride with these especially curated\, thought provoking short films.\n\nIn the emotionally resonant narratives of Muhafiz\, Zindagi Dobara\, and Pariah\, we witness the power and importance of queer storytelling in challenging societal norms and prejudices. As we delve into a transformative night during the Gujarat riots\, navigate the complexities of coexisting in the aftermath of loss\, and confront deep-seated caste and sexual biases\, these films illuminate the human struggle for understanding\, acceptance\, and love.\n\nThe characters’ journeys highlight the diverse queer experiences in South Asia\, bringing to the forefront the often-overlooked narratives of this community. Through such poignant storytelling\, we truly begin to dismantle stereotypes and prejudices\, emphasizing the crucial role of queer cinema in fostering a more inclusive and empathetic society.\n\nWatch these stories in the comfort of your home this June 23\, 7 PM on TasveerTV. Even better\, get your friends and family together for a watch party. The ways to celebrate are endless.\n\nDate: Friday\, June 23rd 2023\nTime: 7pm\nCost: Sliding scale starting at $0\nVenue: Online\n\nRegister Now
