The film is built around this idea of self-acceptance\, which the Prince has struggled with his entire adult life. \nDirectors Shivin and Sunny grew up in a time where homosexuality was not accepted\, even in their household. Not having any mainstream representation of their struggles on-screen only made their fear of acceptance greater. That is why the two created this story in the form of a folk tale with a hope for it to be sent down from generation to generation. \nRegister NOW!

DESCRIPTION:Pride Month Special- Tasveer Reels: The Booth\nThis Pride month\, join us for an exclusive screening of The Booth followed by a live Q&A session with the filmmaker Rohin Raveendran. \nDate: Friday\, June 17th \nTime: 7:30pm PST \nWhere: Online on TasveerTV (watch.tasveer.tv) \nOnce you register we will be sending you a code to view the film. \nAbout ‘The Booth’: A female frisking booth inside a crowded shopping mall stands as a silent ally to a forbidden romance. \nRohin Raveendran Nair is an independent filmmaker and cinematographer based out of Mumbai\, India. His recent short film\, The Booth\, produced by Vikramaditya Motwane (Andolan Films) screened at such reputed festivals as Tallinn Black Nights (2019); Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival (2019) and won Best Short Film award at Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival as well as Signs Film Festival (Kerala). The Booth is currently streaming on MUBI. Rohin’s one-minute short film\, Paijana won Filminute 2016 – the international one-minute film festival.\nHaving specialized in cinematography from Film & Television Institute of India (FTII)\, Pune\, Rohin has shot numerous short films\, digital commercials as well as documentaries. He is a Camerimage (Poland) Golden Frog nominated cinematographer for the documentary\, Testimony of Ana. He also served as the 2nd unit director and 2nd unit cinematographer on both seasons of the wildly popular series\, Sacred Games\, India’s first Netflix Originals.\nCurrently\, Rohin is developing his debut feature – a psychological horror set in a remote satellite town.
