TASVEER FILM MARKET FAQ’s 2025
The Tasveer Film Market is the first ever International South-Asian Film Market, outside South Asia serving as a platform for filmmakers, producers, distributors, and other industry professionals to showcase and discover new South Asian stories. It facilitates networking, sales, and distribution opportunities.
TFM takes place in conjunction with the Tasveer Film Festival (TFF), held annually in Seattle, Washington from October 8-12th 2025. The Market will be on October 8th, 9th. The Film Festival will be on October 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
TFM is open to filmmakers, producers, distributors, sales agents, festival programmers, and other industry professionals.

Yes, we welcome everyone at every stage of their career. However, we require your teams to be pre-selected, and your film materials to be in place.
Writer and/Or Director must identify as South Asian. It is not necessary that the Lead of the Project be South Asian, but the Primary Cast must have a South Asian Character.
Filmmakers must submit their films through the online FilmFreeway submission portal, providing all required materials such as
1. Project Pitch Deck including:
– Concept;
– Outline for all episodes in case of a TV series;
– Moodboard;
– Character(s)’ sheet and journey(s);
– Creator/Writer/Director biography(ies);
– Production notes outlining key crew, market, and distribution strategy;
2. Synopsis (outlining the main details and articulation of the full story arch of the film or of the season);
3. Pilot script/treatment;
4. Budget top-sheet
5. Producer/Creator/Director/Team/Headshot;
6. Optional attachments:
– Full script (if available);
– Creator/Showrunner’s/Director Bio and Filmography (and link to show-reel if available);
– Mood-Trailer (a teaser or any audiovisual material)
Yes, TFFM offers various networking events, including mixers, panels, roundtable discussions, open-pitches and one-on-one meetings with industry professionals.
Attendees should bring business cards, film promotional materials (such as posters and flyers), and any necessary equipment for pitching sessions, such as a laptop or tablet.
