Community Speaks: Diversity and Inclusion
Do you have a story to share about grit and empowerment? Know, you are it and this is your moment! On this 11th year of Aaina, Community Speaks(CS) is providing a platform for you to speak up about issues of diversity and inclusion, of leadership and determination.
Diversity and inclusion have long come to the forefront of the national conversation, more so in this election cycle. While each of us bring with ourselves a set of diverse perspectives, a topic so relevant to these times still leaves room for common grounds. Contexts like workplace, workforce, education bring into limelight elements such as gender, race, disabilities or culture, but even something as basic as sexual orientation, socio-economic background or cognitive diversity can be vital to the lens. This year’s CS forum is the perfect platform for you to come broaden the dimensions on this issue, all the while giving the community a crucial voice in the conversation.
Interested in sharing your story or simply being in the audience? Have questions regarding participation? Contact Ananya (ananyarabeya@gmail.com) or Priya (priyan@apichaya.org) by April 6, 2016, or express your interest through this FORM.
