Position Summary: Tasveer is seeking an experienced and passionate Digital Marketing Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that enhances our online presence, engages our diverse community, and supports our programming, festival outreach, and fundraising objectives. This role reports to the Executive Director of Tasveer and is a full-time, exempt position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage an innovative social media strategy to promote Tasveer’s mission, programs, and events
- Create creatives on Canva
- Create Reels and short contents
- Schedule engaging multimedia content for various social media platforms, ensuring consistent brand voice and identity.
- Design and manage paid social media campaigns to achieve audience growth, event promotion, and fundraising targets, collaborating with external agencies as needed.
- Analyze key performance metrics, provide regular reports, and adjust strategy to optimize engagement and reach.
- Monitor and interact with the community by responding to comments, initiating conversations, and staying attuned to relevant trends and discussions in the arts and nonprofit space.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align messaging and enhance brand reputation; identify key partners, influencers, and industry leaders for strategic collaborations.
- Support marketing efforts for targeted programs and events by developing tailored content and campaigns in partnership with the program teams.
- Stay informed on current digital marketing trends, best practices, and technologies to enhance Tasveer’s digital footprint.
- Maintain the organization’s digital asset library, including photos, videos, and branding materials.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, or related fields, preferably within the nonprofit or arts sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in digital/social media marketing is a plus.
- Demonstrable expertise in managing social media strategies and executing paid and organic campaigns, including proficiency with analytics tools for data-driven insights.
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills, with the ability to adapt voice for different platforms and audiences.
- Experience in multimedia content production, including using creative tools (Adobe Photoshop, Canva, InDesign) and basic video editing software (e.g., iMovie).
- Excellent project management skills, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and timelines effectively.
- A positive and collaborative attitude with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, particularly during the lead-up to and duration of major events.
- Genuine enthusiasm for Tasveer’s mission and an understanding of South Asian culture and film.

Sponsorship Manager, Tasveer
Role Summary:
The Sponsorship Manager will leverage existing sponsors, and identify and establish new sponsors to secure funding for Tasveer Film Festival & Market (Oct 2024). You will work closely with and report to Tasveer’s Executive Director. You will also work with the Tasveer Board of Directors to identify their personal/professional network opportunities and provide them with the tools they need to successfully solicit sponsorship. (Prospectus/email templates/call scripts/social media)
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Prospecting New Sponsorship Opportunities: (75%)
- Conduct detailed research on prospective sponsors, developing a probability system to ensure our efforts are strategic and focused.
- Develop sponsorship strategies and overall sponsorship program inclusive of differentiated sponsorship packages and custom sponsorship packages that deliver results.
- Craft engaging sponsorship solicitations including emails, phone calls, and follow up at least seven times.
- Leverage the Board of Directors and their networks to achieve organizational goals.
- Sponsor Stewardship (25%):
- Track, measure and maintain all sponsorship commitments.
- Lead communications with event sponsors to ensure delivery of expected benefits.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Programming teams to fulfill sponsorship benefits.
- Invoice sponsors and ensure timely payments.
- Manage sponsor relationships to ensure receipt of all required collaterals and provision of agreed benefits.
- Prepare and send sponsorship reports and thank you letters to all active sponsors.
- Sponsorship Goals: (100%)
- Exceed sponsorship revenue goals and grow sponsorship revenue by 30% in year 1.
- Prepare monthly progress reports on institutional giving goals.
- Quickly identifying blockers and opportunities to ensure we reach our revenue goals.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of four years of fundraising/development experience, preferably in the non-profit arts or education sector;
- Successful track record of cultivating and maintaining donor relationships/sponsors;
- Superior time management and organizational skills.
- Confident, friendly, professional, and comfortable with cold calling.
- Genuine interest in creating positive social change.
Time Requirements:
- 20hrs/ week. Competitive salary range from $25/hr -$40/hr.
Possibility to grow into a 40 hours/week full-time.

About the Position
The grant writer will report to the Executive Director. The grant writer is responsible forresearching, preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals/reports that supportTasveer’s goals and meet foundation funding guidelines and criteria.
Key Responsibilities
The grant writer serves as the primary grant writer, assists in managing funder relationships, and supportscompliance reporting. This position requires strong writing, data analysis, program budgeting, and project management skills, with an emphasis on clear writing and outcome measurement. The grantwriter may also write organizational communications as needed.

- Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies

Organization Description
Tasveer is a non-profit film and arts organization that aims to inspire social change through film. The organization engages the community through South Asian films and storytelling, to foster a deeper understanding of South Asian culture and build a just society. Tasveer makes meaningful films and stories accessible to everyone and builds a stronger informed community through storytelling. Tasveer provides a platform and funds to filmmakers, and storytellers and employ stories as a vehicle to give a voice to marginalized communities.
Role Description
The Development Director is responsible for leading the organization’s fundraising strategy, maintaining and increasing funding via individual donations, sponsorships, online giving campaigns, and memberships. This position is responsible for overseeing the development team (marketing/communications, grant writing, and events) and coordinating development activities for our Annual Tasveer Gala and other fundraising campaigns throughout the year. This position reports to Tasveer’s Executive Director.
Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategy and Plan (50%)
- Develop and lead annual fundraising plan, including stretch goals
- Research and secure event sponsorships
- Organize and implement GiveBig, GivingTuesday, and Year-End Appeal online giving campaigns
- Monitor and analyze fundraising data
- Organize donor cultivation and fundraising events
- Organize individual donor meetings, in coordination with staff, Board, and campaign committee
- Plan Donor Appreciation event schedule
- Provide development reports at board meetings
Team Oversight and Coordination (25%)
- Manage and coordinate a fundraising team of marketing/communications, grant writing, and event professionals
- Oversee strategic implementation of the Annual Tasveer Gala Event
Membership Development (15%)
- Cultivate new membership Ideas
- Host a Membership Campaign once a year
- Plan and host a Member event once a year during the Festival.
Capital Campaign (10%)
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Campaign Manager to develop Capital Campaign plan

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and development, including at least one year in a leadership role

- Strong familiarity with spreadsheets, such as Excel
- Ability to lead productive teams in both in-person and remote settings, including supervisory experience
Preferred
- 5+ years of demonstrated successful nonprofit fundraising experience
- Knowledge of South Asian culture and community is a plus
- Knowledge of the film industry, particularly film festivals
- Fundraising certification, such as CFRE
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field

The Program Event Coordinator is responsible for project planning, developing, coordinating communicating, and executing all events for Tasveer which include monthly hybrid events as well as Festival events. Event coordination varies by event but may include:
- Securing panelists/speakers/keynote presentations,
- Ensuring strong communication and working with marketing team
- Setting up event on the online platform as needed
- Setting up ticketing for events
- Be in communication with the artists in taking care of their travel, honorarium, and accommodation
- Researching and securing event venues
- Setting up meetings for the event and taking thorough notes
- Using Project Management tool such as Asana
- Ensure events run smoothly and milestones are met and keeping its record
- Should be able to drive to venues to check out the locations and communicate thoroughly with the event managers.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Five years of event management/planning experience
- Passion for film, entertainment, the arts, and social justice
- Having a creative eye & graphic design skills are a plus
- A college degree is preferred
- Basic experience collecting and analyzing data
