The 6th Annual Tasveer Gala is Here!
We are thrilled to be hosting our Annual Fundraising Gala in person this year. Join us for an evening of music, dining, and giving back at our Annual Gala. The funds raised will be directed to the cause of South Asian filmmakers, advocates and artists; those who highlight social justice issues and marginalized voices and narratives of the South Asian community.
Your endorsement made a lot possible over our 21 years’ journey: With your constant support, Tasveer:
- Hosts TSAFF, the largest South Asian film festival in the US
- Awards $50,000 annually to independent filmmakers with Tasveer Film Fund
- Organized 58 individual community events ranging from Open Mic nights, Book Reads, scriptwriting workshops, and masterclasses for budding storytellers.
- Promoted more than 200 artists, filmmakers, and advocates through their events.
- Amplifies women’s and queer voices, with 43% women directors in TSAFF.
- Encourages and inculcates political and social activism amongst South Asian youth through Tasveer Youth Collective
- Encourages alternate storytelling media like documentaries and short films
- Has broadcasted close to 700 hours (and counting) of independent films and content on TasveerTV
